Apparently, the sit 'n spins they're making now light up and have music. Can anybody say sensory overload? I loved my sit 'n spin. Of course, one can always take the batteries out, but I'm told that the new sit 'n spins are harder to turn, and they are such garish colors.... Does anybody have an old sit 'n spin I can have? For the babies, of course. I'm sure we could work something out with regards to shipping.

Ew, I get nauseated just thinking about those.

I'll check my garage this weekend... I know we had one when I was little (so this would be a ~1983 model as it was technically my little brother's), but I'm not sure what shape it's in or whether I can get to it. For all I know, it could have lost the ability to spin over the past 20 years...

(Unless somebody else knows where theirs is and that it's in good condition, in which case I won't bother. *grin*)

I guess music might be all right provied it's not overly loud or extraordinarily irritating. But lights? Yuck!

On a completely unrelated note, what's the style override for changing the names of the links to your friends pages and such? I've been journal-tweaking, and I can't seem to actually make my friends link read "my fellow lab rats", etc...

Hi, you were one of the people it said to contact about joining the Asperger's community, so here I am ;-)

I'd really like to be allowed to join, though I do not have Asperger's. I really don't know much about it at all but I may be moving in with a woman who has it and I'd really like to learn more about people with it. I don't want to join a "family support" community or whatever, because the last thing I'm looking for is "outside looking in" prejudices. I am a very self-aware person and the only way I ever feel comfortable with something is if I am able to "see through their eyes" so to speak. I've also been reading some of the entries and ironically I can relate to a lot of things apparently related to Asperger's lol. Oh and I was wondering, what does "NT" stand for?
