Forswunk, which comes with a Norman Rockwell picture I haven't seen before, and feisty, which has a surprising etymology! You know I love etymologies. Or, at least, I love them in theory. In practice, a lot of them either end up exactly what you'd expect or else end up with the disappointing "uncertain origin". But when I see a good one, I love it all the more!

Those are both so cool! The painting reminds me of an old movie where (I think) Katharine Hepburn is a sales girl and has an out of control sales book. This is going to bug me until I figure out what movie that was, learn if it was KH, and watch it! And feisty is awesome. As someone who has a very fesisy albeit not small dog who can also be extremely prone to fisting, that hits perfectly.

Forswunk. Good word, and excellent Rockwell picture. I worked three(?) Christmases in retail, interesting times. Very different back in the late '70s/early '80s, people were a bit more civilized.

Auntie Mame has a scene where Mame (Rosalind Russell) is working as a Macy's salesperson having trouble with all the carbon paper in her sales book. If your referent is "husky-voiced brunette with a vaguely mid-Atlantic accent".
