Which means it's warm water in the birdbath!

Also: My iphone just updated and now I see I can do text effects in text. But somehow they forgot to include marquee, blink, and glitter. For shame.

The American Dialect Society's words of the year (also decade, century, and millennium) are chosen by a vote of its members. They picked "enshittification" for 2023, the suffix "ussy" in 2022 (I am old), "insurrection" for 2021, and, of course, "Covid" for 2020.

The words of the century and millennium, picked in 2000, were "jazz" and "she," which continues to delight me.
