So yesterday when I walked the dog I saw a little bitty half eggshell on the ground

and when I looked up very carefully I saw the nest, almost within arm's reach if I stand on my tiptoes, and what appears to be a mourning dove in it!

And I guess that was fortuitous, because today there's a giveaway for a pair of nice binoculars. Or I assume they're good ones instead of the cheapest of the cheap.
