This makes eating a struggle even when he's enthusiastic. Especially when he's enthusiastic.
I'm thinking about getting some puppy replacement formula, just to get a few more calories into him, if he'll drink it the same way he drinks his water. I just want something high calorie that he'll be willing to drink. Does anybody have any recommendations?

Date: 2024-06-28 12:01 am (UTC)I make a delicious kibble topper for my dogs out of two pounds of ground turkey cooked in chicken broth with a cup of rice, four eggs, and a cup of green peas and carrots added. I puree it with a stick blender and freeze it in portions they can eat in two days. Let it thaw in the fridge and warm up a serving in the microwave for 25 seconds. They have the most gorgeous coats now. They were both starved before being rescued and it takes a long time to rebuild their nutrition, but they are doing great.
