What if you did a fancy grilled cheese sandwich? Or do a fun snack board, with fruits and cheeses and whatever.

Cereal is a great quick and cheap meal, though it tends not to last long (we're always hungry again two hours later.) But a good excuse to get that variety pack of mini cereals.

I made a weeks worth of chicken with Alfredo noodles once, portioned it out into containers in the fridge.

I am such a fussy eater, with unusual likes, that I enjoy cooking for one, as then I get *exactly* what I want, without needing to care what others think.

True, I do like to make this particular pasta sauce with bacon and blue cheese that nobody else will touch, not even the family members who like blue cheese....

(But it makes me poop. I really shouldn't eat blue cheese. Indeed, I mostly don't eat blue cheese for exactly this reason!)

The only cereals I really like are the expensive "fancy" brands, lol! And I eat half a box in one sitting, too, so... not so cheap for me.

Though definitely still cheaper than the alternative, which is takeout, and healthier (probably?) than the other alternative, which is potato chips....

My go-to to fill myself up is plain Turkish yogurt with a small spoon of honey and plenty of granola (the plain/natural granola is cheaper and you can easily add some fresh banana or apple for extra flavor).

I usually just buy the 1kg container of yogurt, but the Turkish supermarket near my house sells a 10kg container and I'm legitimately tempted...

I am lucky - Sis does the cooking and she is good - so when I have to feel myself it tends to be cold meat and vegetable salad.

Tonight we had pasta with pesto and roasted tomato, simple but delicious.

Banana, bagel and coffee. Meal for one.

Lox is really spendy, though, even if I get the bits in the container instead of the slices in the package.

And no, I will not eat a bagel sans lox, not in this lifetime. Though I ought to start baking my own again....

It'd be a bit much to ask Jenn to commute from work in out-of-state to make food for me, though.

I don't mind cooking for one because I can make a family sized meal (eg spaghetti sauce) and eat it every day for a week.

I'm on a run of falafel in pita this week, with quick-pickled onions and as much salady stuff as will fit in there with them. And a smear of mayo or something.
