Maybe he's happily divorced. Maybe his wife battered him and ate him. Honestly, it could go either way, but regardless of how it's happened she's clearly found another, richer husband to henpeck.

I liked this movie quite a lot, though I will note that at the end of the first movie we see several baby chickens and at the start of this second one there appears to just be one - Molly - and... well, it's not just the mild discontinuity that bugs me. I simply think that this story would've been a little stronger if we'd seen that Molly was not just out of step with the stuffy and traumatized adults but also with her peers. (And she would've been. We saw that in the first movie. If Ginger hadn't been on their case 24/7 then the other hens would've just stayed where they were until the end. They didn't want to get eaten, but Ginger provided nearly all their sense of urgency about the topic.)

It's best not to consider that if the chickens continue their covert ops rescue missions around the British Isles they and their little sanctuary - their increasingly overcrowded sanctuary - will surely be discovered and wiped out.

Also: Covid testers were listed specifically and by name in the end credits, and they deserve it!
