Going on day three with no nightmares

Which makes the first time in... a while, actually.

They weren't really nightmares, per se, which implies a dream of some sort. It was just me bolting awake, sure that if I didn't do some vague thing, somebody would die. And then after Mommy died it was me bolting awake, sure that I was about to suffocate.

Honestly, I don't think I need help interpreting these little nuggets of terror. I just want them to stop. Fingers crossed!

Experiences differ, but for me mentioning them to others has in similar circumstances 30+ years ago and still does in general.

I've been talking about them incessantly since they started, including at least twice on this journal, but third time does seem to be the charm.

When my partner got sick, I started to have stress nightmares. It took a while after she died (six years ago) for them to go away. They came back, when my dad died (eighteen months ago) and went away fairly quickly and then again after my mom (four months ago). They have been on-and-off while I have been living in their place and going through the mountains of stuff.
I wish you a quick resolution of the dreams and all the peace.
