but instead, a hardcover book landed on my porch yesterday.

Huh.

I guess I'll just... bring that with me today? When I go to the hospital to see Mommy?

Don't laugh! I'm not used to reading book books anymore, my wrists get all tired! I do everything on the kindle or through the library app on my phone!

Oooo, I hate it when I do that. (Yes, I have done that.) I read on the Kindle a lot because of the arthritis in my hands. After reading for a long time my hands ache from holding the damn book!

Me too! I’ve even learned how to temporarily lock my phone into portrait mode so I can lie on my side and read in bed but the phone doesn’t keep trying to flip into landscape. And that way neither book nor phone falls onto my face if I nod off.
