Finally read City of the Plague God

conulyThis book comes with a forward from Rick Riordan *and* an afterword by the author about the sudden surprise relevance of the plot to reality! Though their plague is more "sudden onset zombies" than "slow moving nightmare".
Pretty solid middle grade. Not one of my absolute favorites from this imprint, but still readable. I do think they made some pretty hasty edits, though - at a few points in the book, the characters mention "the last pandemic" or "last time", which I think was probably not in the original draft!
