Mmm.

Thus far I've made:

Chocolate ice cream with cinnamon
Strawberry ice cream (didn't do that right, ended up with a layer of rock solid strawberries in the middle)
Cookies and cream (it was going to be vanilla, but Eva had oreos)
Peach buttermilk

Ginger is on pause until I can obtain some crystallized ginger. What else should I make now? I'll entertain all suggestions, both boring and exciting. Note: Sorry, almost all - it's too hot to make any sort of ice cream that requires me to cook it first!

I was thinking you wouldn't but I guess it depends on what sort of basic ingredients you have? I live on the west coast where I can just buy dulce de leche as is.

Mostly I was thinking *I* want dulce de leche ice cream. ;-)

I just posted my easy recipe for sour cherry sorbet! You could use sweet cherries, I guess, and decrease the sugar.

The Mexican one made with goat milk would be so good swirled through sweet cream or vanilla base ice cream.

You can buy ready-made dulce de leche, or if you have a slow cooker, pop a tin of condensed milk into a water bath for a few hours. So tasty!

Rosewater/raspberry sorbet, perhaps with a bit of Chambord. If you don't have rosewater laying around, I recommend Nielsen-Massey for food use. (YMMV, but other brands can taste like cosmetics or have a mineral-y or mildew-y top note that some find off-putting.)

You know what goes weirdly well with peaches? Rosemary. Strawberries and cinnamon go together equally well, as does nutella and strawberries.

And if you want ginger ice cream, you could try the cooking ginger in syrup stuff that comes in a tube in the produce section of the grocery store.
