I've been saying for years that the rise of fundamentalism can be traced to failure of school bond issues in the 1960s.

And we run into the dangers of treating that codex as if it were the final word on everything, including things that it could not possibly have foreseen or cared about. I'm sure he delights in the fact that the current Education Secretary believes very firmly that as many government dollars as possible should go to Christian schools.
