The gas works, but it doesn't self-light after somebody accidentally spilled a whole bunch of water over the knobs. This is not an insurmountable problem, I guess, but the better news is that I hate that stove and have wanted a new one for years now and it's practically affordable to replace compared to some other things. So this just bumps it way up on the priority list.

Date: 2019-01-02 04:09 pm (UTC)If you have and enjoy a gas oven now, beware, it seems to be impossible to buy a gas oven these days. The electric oven under my gas burners has a "proof" setting, but I used to just use the pilot for that, and it worked at least as well.
(Don't be me using flaming toothpicks to light the non-igniting burner.)
