Biryani is wonderful, and India has gone the way of the rest of the world with it bigotry rising.

The article about black families is interesting. I work in a non-profit rural health clinic and the majority of our patients are white. The majority of the poor in this country are white. The majority of poor children going hungry in this country are white.

It's stupid the way the idiots in both the media and the government have tried to paint the poor as minorities.

Indeed, the majority of this country are white. If you go too far with this, though, you end up in bigotville again - "Blacks have everything handed to them, after all, the majority of poor people are white and the majority of people shot by the cops are white and I have no idea what the phrase 'per capita' means because I ain't got no fancy-pants education!!!!"

Yes, the very phrase makes me boggle, but I suppose it's no weirder than the phrase bubble tea.

It's not that there aren't poor minorities, it's that there's this myth that only minorities are poor. So the bigots justify cutting programs to the poor because "they just don't get out and work."

Which is stupid, because most of the poor, black, white, or brown, do work - but can't make enough to sustain a family.

Right, but on the flip side you have people whining that nobody cares about poor whites, minorities get everything handed to them, really straight white christian males are the most oppressed....

Sometimes those are the same people.

It's a closed circle. In the end, if you try hard enough, all roads lead to bigotry.
