But she saw my text! Good! She will go Tuesday!

But she gets out late from school, so she'd have to miss her last period and take car service from the boat on Tuesday!

BUT TUESDAY IS ELECTION DAY SO NO SCHOOL!

You have no idea how happy that last part made me when I figured it out. Whew, crisis averted.

I remember when I had braces, 5th grade. I had a rubber bands to correct something or other. And I couldn't get them on myself because of motion problems with one arm, so my mom and the nurse worked out how to do it with crochet needles. So whenever I wanted to get out of class, I'd chew threw the bands.

"Mr. Schwartz! The rubber band for my braces broke! I have ta go to the nurse!"

All sweetness and light, that's me!

But on the other hand, I never lost a retainer. Broke one, once, but it was repairable.

Depends on how well you trust your neighbors politics...I'm hoping they aren't the same ones who were mistreating the cats? ;-)

My co-workers are all against it. Most of the people from my church keep posting on FB to vote no. The only people I know who want it -- seem to think it will decrease the authoritarian control of Albany and disrupt our two-party system. (I've my doubts). (ie. They want it so that we can change the constitution to enable everyone to vote in primaries regardless of their political affiliation.)

But I think we're too divisive right now for it to work the way they want it to. I also don't think it will pass, too much opposition. I looked up the ballot...and the opposition has Planned Parenthood and Right to Life on the same side -- opposed. Those two groups don't agree on much of anything.

It's entirely possible that he did at some point, plus you also had the school nurse as a reporting party.  I think I learned not to overdo it too much.  Plus the nurse was literally next door, so it normally didn't take too long.  But it was a nice breather to get out of class for even 5 minutes.
