Jan. 14th, 2016 09:21 amSooooo the laptop fell on the floor actually right before the keyboard got busted. And I didn't realize it then, but it cracked the casing that holds the screen. The whole component will need to be replaced.
What do I call that piece? It's not the screen that's broken, the screen is 100% okay. And by carefully examining how-to videos on screen replacement, it's clear to me that attempting to replace the screen will mean I'll replace the part that's fine, and not replace the part that's broken! I think I ought to be able to fix this part, I at least want to see if this is possible, but I can't do that if I don't know what I'm looking at.
