I'd add a sarcastic "for some reason" here, but the other song that's been floating around in my head is the one about the little ducks who go away and then come back with a quack quack quack, and on that, I've got nothing.

I'd add a sarcastic "for some reason" here, but the other song that's been floating around in my head is the one about the little ducks who go away and then come back with a quack quack quack, and on that, I've got nothing.
The short story is about a magic earpiece that, when found and put in, will warn you that you better take it out.
If ignored, the earpiece will instead guide you to a prosperous and happy life by whispering advice into your ear.
The story ends by revealing that the brains of those using the earpiece atrophy due to the user never making their own decisions.
