So it did snow a little

The kids were talking about how much snowier it was when they were kids and - it's just, I spent that entire time agonizing about how much less snow they got in their childhood than I did. And I remember being a kid reading books set in NYC, written in the 1960s and set in the 1930s (the Amy and Laura/Veronica Ganz books) and noting how very much snowier the winter scenes seemed to be than I was used to, something which clearly isn't just nostalgia but is borne out by looking at the data.
