Alas, I was looking for the wild rice, which rather perplexingly is not on its shelf with the other grains. It's a big jar! How could it get lost!? Well, if it started walking it must be halfway to New Jersey by now, as they say.

It turns out that the words bullion and bouillon are in fact related. They both come from the French "to boil", which incidentally is where the English word "boil" comes from. The older English word is seethe.
