He was 79, and it wasn't a violent or especially painful death, so I don't feel the need to pretend I'm bereft. I mean, I have sympathy for his family and all, but I'm not exactly shedding my own tears over here. Various Republicans are already talking about how they're going to just block and block any replacement until Obama leaves office. They could show a little dignity and decorum, the man they claim to honor and respect isn't even cold in his grave. And with over 300 days until the 2016 inauguration, I don't see how that move would be anything but destructive, but that's modern politics for you. Sheesh, like this election season wasn't bloodthirsty enough.
