Have been doing homeschooling this week.
Sep. 3rd, 2014 10:07 pmIt's becoming more and more clear that the advantages and disadvantages are the same thing.
Pro: If somebody forgets to put on deodorant, it isn't her peers jeering at her to take a shower, it's me reminding her gently.
Con: If somebody forgets to put on deodorant, she stinks and is sitting RIGHT NEXT TO ME for an extended period of time.
Pro: LOTS OF SNUGGLE TIME!
Con: LOTS OF SNUGGLE TIME!
Pro: It's amazing to see how good at math Moosie and Baby Jill are!
Con: Seriously, I have to teach Moosie and Baby Jill? (Apparently, their feelings get hurt if you point out that dolls don't have to go to school. And don't ask what happens if you point out that dolls don't even have feelings.)
Pro: No matter how badly I flub it, I can't be worse than our zoned school, which is awful.
Con: If I flub it that badly, I have to admit I actually was worse than our zoned school, which would be both awful and really embarrassing. (This is a low risk.)
Pro: I can get this done in less time than they'd spend at school, and there's no homework!
Con: Am I spending enough time on this? Well, at least there's no homework!
