God, what an awful day.

Nonstop screaming from the girls, all day, interspersed with occasional periods of screaming from me. Boiling hot weather. One of them shoved the other, and I had to hear the tattling and screaming. "Don't let her sleep in my room!" "She can't take that fan!" "I never want to see her again, she WENT in my ROOM!", and all this while I slave over a hot stove in the hot weather. The kale was bitter. Ana went downstairs to get some ice cream, and the freezer door slammed on her fingers, causing her to stand upright and hit her head on the stairs, which in turn made her fall backwards onto the floor from about 2 steps up. I ran down and found poor traumatized Ana holding her bowl of ice cream on her forehead. Calm everybody down, go back up, more screaming. Time for bed. "I don't want to go to bed!" Okay, well, before you plop down, let's at least get this apple core off the floor and into the garbage. "I'm not the maid, I just want to go to sleep, I'm so tired! Why isn't my sister in here with me! I WANT HER AND NOT YOU NEVER YOU!!!!"

And Jenn was working overtime. If she had asked first, I would've begged her not to.

Of course, after all this, Ana had an asthma attack. Was it the heat? The humidity? The nonstop screaming? The 20 minute 3-way tantrum/fight? Who knows? All I know is she couldn't breathe. It finally ended once I wrangled the AC into the window. Stupid side panels don't close all the way like they're supposed to, I don't know what to do about that.

So, yes, that's why there are no articles for today. (Did I mention the screaming?)
