I forgot about dinner
Jan. 25th, 2014 11:57 amWell, that might be because dinner over the past week was really boring. Last night we had hot dogs (on sale, and as autocorrect helpfully reminded me, they are NOT dogs) with parsnips and carrots in an orange glaze (nothing to write home about, which means I'm still looking for a really great parsnip recipe), and green beans with butter.
I'm not even going to tally the cost. The night before we had paprikash using leftover chicken and potatoes, and the night before that it was chicken soup using leftover chicken, carrots, parsnips, egg noodles, and peas. Monday we had the chicken, but nobody ate any, they all felt sick. I do not suggest being sick as a way to cut grocery bills.
