But first I have to round up somebody on food stamps to go with me, because it saves me $115 that way. $115 per cat.
Then I have to scrounge up enough cat carriers. I have none. I have to borrow from friends - one per kitten.
I have to go at least twice, most likely, as they try to limit it to no more than two per customer per day. I'll get the boys first, I have a home lined up for at least two of the three already. (Sweet girl, but a bit naive. I told her I have kittens and she said "Oh, how much do they cost?" It would've been almost too easy...!)
(Actually, I need to check in with her, make sure she's still wanting them. If not, I'll get the girls first for the obvious reason.)
And of course there's post-op care. Yay.
As far as the rest of it goes, these are sweet kittens, and they pee in the box just fine, but, like their mother, they refuse to poo there. Normally Mom shows the kittens what to do and where to do it, but this one prefers to go outside, and the kittens aren't allowed.
I would've had an easier time tracking down where they were going instead (because, unlike mom, they aren't going outside) except my mother didn't bother to inform me they were using her bathroom! And me putting them in the box wasn't doing much for them, as they already had a spot, I just didn't know where. Big house we've got.
So I'm going to try moving the box in there for a while, now that I know. With the box in there, the connection should be easier for them. I'll get another box as well as soon as I have the money to do so, one really isn't enough for them all, nor for three floors of house.
In other cat news, had to give two of them a bath yesterday, they got into I don't know WHAT and I wasn't about to let them like it off themselves. Giving cats a bath is NOT fun, but if you know what you're doing you can accomplish it without being torn to shreds. Oddly, that's one skill I have down to a science, but I still can't manage to get a reluctant kitty to use the box. Priorities, all messed up.
