I love my mom.
Dec. 27th, 2006 10:39 pmI meant to post about this the day this happened, last Friday, but I forgot.
My mother had the day off, as did my sister, so we all went to the SICM together. Well, Jenn wasn't there yet, but she should have been.
The Friday toddler program was unusually full of two-and-three year olds, but empty of babies.
Now, normally, the children play by themselves or in pairs, doing as they will. The adults either hover with their own kids or sit in the sides and talk, depending mostly on the kid's age. This leads to a friendly, chaotic atmosphere.
It's broken up by a few structured activities here and there, which the kids ignore or don't as they like.
Nobody every tries to organize it past that - why bother? They're little kids, you can't organize them.
Unless, of course, you're my mom. Then you get a whole stage full of children two and three years old, doing semi-coordinated dance. Twirling, jumping, and stopping on cue.
No, seriously.
Picture Carrot with his football, and that's my mom. And, likewise, anybody else having tried that would have failed miserably, and probably ended up dead.
I love my mom.
