Two babywearing links...

This link is for donating slings to poor mothers who want them. If you have an old carrier you don't have anybody to give it to, here you go.
And this link, a contest to win an amauti.
I just got my new kindercoat - a poncho that goes over you and the baby. And I had to explain to several people that no, the coat doesn't hold the baby. My carrier holds the baby, the coat just keeps us warm and dry. And then I'd explain that if I had a spare $500, I could maybe buy me an Inuit style carrier, where the coat really *does* carry the baby and keep everybody warm at the same time.
I don't have $500, and there's no chance of getting the pattern to one of those (believe me, people get very political when you ask), and aren't they the coolest thing ever? So I'm off to try writing a few poems. I'll see if youse guys can screen them first.
