I've long since discovered that she listens better if I'm holding her hands, or otherwise touching her. Otherwise she gets distracted and may even miss that I'm talking. (It's annoying. She asks "what?", and then she has to ask again and again because she gets distracted midsentence. I really dislike being asked to repeat myself even once, so I'm sitting there getting annoyed at her for my own issues.)

I've no idea what's normal or not, of course. So... how normal is this for a three-year-old child?

Hey, guys!

When you chew gum, stop spitting it out on the ground! And stop sticking it to chairs and tables, especially if you can't even be bothered to put it on the *underside* of whatever surface you're sticking it to!

THROW IT OUT. Or, if there isn't a garbage near you, wrap it up in some paper and wait to throw it out. Or swallow it. I promise, it won't remain in your stomach for the next decade. You can even stick it on your nose or forehead for all I care, or spit it onto the floor at home. Just stop doing it in public. Some of us don't want to be near your nasty germs, thanks.
