10th grade, I cut a lot of classes. Just... stopped going. Actually, I did that the second time around too, just stayed in the house. My mom was convinced for a while that "something must've happened", she asked about it, but nothing had happened. And I had the same problem last year - couldn't go to class, had to be in the house. I spent days, consecutively, inside the house - inside my room, really. And that's not counting the individual days that I couldn't leave the house (which were not surrounded by happycheery days, but were instead surrounded by "I don't wanna leave, but I'll starve if I don't" days).

Yeah, I don't know why that happens. I'm not sure my mom or Jenn realized that's what was happening. It wasn't that I was avoiding school, but I was avoiding everything outside my doors. Or at least, outside my porch. Yes, I was also avoiding school, but that's not the whole of it.

Whee, I've just explained absolutely nothing. But it felt good to get that off my chest and into the anonymity that would be LiveJournal if I didn't plan on stalking every last one of you (excluding those with a history of actual stalking, because that's just not funny).

1. What the hell is up with LJ lately? I am not a happy Connie.
2. Ooh, an explanation on the Klingon thing? Gotta watch, gotta see.

Oh, and edit!

Question. Yesterday, I saw the most gorgeous pigeon, pure white. Gorgeous rock dove, not pigeon, whatever. Anyway, I've noticed that a lot of pigeons are missing feet or have very sick feet. What seems to happen is that they somehow get string wrapped around their feet. This string presumably cuts of circulation, and eventually the foot is lost.

They can survive with a stump, I've seen them, but it worries me. Does anybody know how this happens? Or how I can capture them, subdue them, and remove the string without harming the pigeon?

My response to the esteemed individual quoted in that post )

Okay, new plan. Instead of bickering about teaching or not teaching evolution in the schools, we start teaching basic logic. I think we need that more. Much more.
