Okay, all you lucky people!
Nov. 4th, 2003 09:32 pmSince I'm finally in Cicero, you get to learn Latin from the beginning! No, no, don't leave! It'll be fun, I promise! Really!
Okay, side note, will start posting from my old Wheelocks' later, Jenn? Since you don't use your dried rosemary, can I have? Danke!
Back to me:
This is what I was lucky enough to redeem myself by not completely messing up earlier:
Quo usque tandem abutere, Catilina, patientia nostra? quam diu etiam furor iste tuus nos eludet? quem ad finem sese effrenata iactabit audacia? Nihilne te nocturnum praesidium Palati, nihil urbis vigiliae, nihil timor populi, nihil concursus bonorum omnium, nihil hic munitissimus habendi senatus locus, nihil horum ora voltusque moverunt?
Ahem.
How long will you abuse our patience, Catiline? For how long will that madness of yours(against the state, generally, I'm told) elude us? To what end will your unbridled audacity throw itself forward? Didn't the night guard of Palatine move you, didn't the city watch move you, didn't the fear of the people move you, didn't the gatherings of all good men move you, didn't the strong senate here move you, didn't the people here move you?
Okay, last bit's shaky, but not bad, eh? Of course, I have MORE to do by Tuesday... *le sigh*
