Two more Ana-cdotes from Thanksgiving

1. While the rest of us were all having a, uh, lively discussion (and let me just say that we didn't have any real fights at ALL and my mother didn't storm out even ONCE) Ana burst in to chastise us:

"I'm the only one trying to have a real Thanksgiving! You guys don't even care! It's about being thankful, not about everybody FIGHTING and YELLING at each other!"

Yes. I LOL'd.

2. Later in the evening, upset at being asked to do something, she went "I have to do EVERYthing around here, and I'm just the MAID, you don't do ANYthing!"

What was she asked to do? She was asked to get a cup of water. For herself. Because she'd said she was thirsty and nobody else felt like getting it for her.

I laughed for a good two minutes over that, much to her consternation.

A real Thanksgiving is about everyone fighting and yelling at each other so as to be thankful when Thanksgiving is over. It also gives everybody a relief from feeling bad about their own failures, character-flaws and unworthy behaviors, by giving them a prime opportunity to look down on and be pissed-off about everyone else's behavior, flaws and failures.

Welcome to America, Ana. :/

*hugs* Holiday was going well till this morning, when Teh Suck cut in.

Heh, my playing sick would not keep anybody out of the house; they know where I live. My going up the airy mountain, or westward to the woods and waters wild, would ensure that I did not get in a fight with anyone I care about, because none of them would be able to track me there. I am probably the last person in this country to have no cell phone.
