I get what you're saying, but I'm still critical of what they're saying. Even in the past tense. Ugh. (Hilariously, comments to this article indicate that much of the increase in food stamps is in the very areas where Some People are strongest in arguing against them. Well, not so much hilarious - how on earth do we convince people to stop voting against their own damn interests?)
