And it was thus that I wandered over to autistics.org, to check out the newslinks. I shouldn't bother, they're all the same, always, and bland and boring as well, but I really *did* have nothing to do. Can't even really walk around, my leg and back still hurt after my fall on the ice today (more on that later).
And there's these two links in the news feed. One about how chelation is used to 'treat' autism. It's fairly biased towards it, even mangling a quote from a doctor *against* chelation, turning "not a treatment for autism" into "now a treatment for autism". And just below that is an article about two deaths of children due to chelation. One of them had lead poisoning, the other one was, of course, Abubakar Tariq Nadama.
*shrugs*
They just lined up so neatly, is all.

Date: 2006-03-04 03:33 am (UTC)If you're bored enough, since I believe you are a paid user, you could always try reading your FOF list. :) Or, since it's remarkably huge, you're welcome to read my flist -- aside from the person I just recommended, there are probably others you haven't met that you might like. Or, if you want to take a real shortcut, ask your flist to recommend LJs to check out.
I want to be bored. I'm too stressed! :p

Date: 2006-03-04 04:09 am (UTC)Better to just take them in teensy doses. I kill enough time reading the news as it is. (I really do, too, and I just don't have that much free time to kill, come to think of it.)
2. I do read my FOF list. Occasionally. It really is huge - I finish one page, and that page ends up being the next page as well :) Which is alternately annoying and amusing. And many of the entries are from communities I'm decidedly not interested in.

Date: 2006-03-04 04:33 am (UTC)My flist itself is large enough now that if I'm away long enough, I also get the "second page is the same as the first" even on *it* sometimes. Not too often, luckily, especially since I have it set to 50 entries per page. I completely forgot about the FOF existing until yesterday, in fact... I really need to try it out!
I am now trying to think up other people you might like to read...with 200+ friends this should be easy. Hmm, here's a few:
Well, that should keep you busy for a little while, at least... ;)
