I'm curious... What's your favorite thing to snack on?
BESIDES packaged stuffs, and nothing too complicated.
Me, I like frozen grapes. *munches on some* Not red grapes, which I inexplicably find the ickiest things on this earth, and yes that includes mushrooms, but green grapes, which are the greatest gift of all to humankind... especially when frozen
Tangent, what nutzoid first had the bright idea of eating the juice of rotten grapes? Was it some sort of bet or something?
I also, of course, love toast with butter and pepper. Not ANY toast, health nut bread.
Oh! And english muffins, covered with cream cheese and stuck in the broiler until the top of the cheese is browned.
But man, nothing beats my frozen grapes.

I would probably go for a fruit salad with melon, berries and stone fruit in. And eat it with a fork. Unfortunately chocolate seems to lure me - it's cheaper and more convenient.

But anyway.
Ever try a watermelon tomato salad?
I keep wanting to make that and then forgetting. And now watermelons aren't in season.
*sigh* It's for the best, bluecheese, though I love it so, gives me serious digestive problems.
Course, there's always this recipe....
Oh yeah. What's a stone fruit?

I've tried watermelon in ginger wine, but never melon and tomato. They sound like they'd work though.
Stone fruit are peaches, apricots, nectarines, plums (which I don't like unless they're 'black doris' - the purple ones). Fruit with a stone in it. Though you prolly call it a pit?

Salted crackers are also quite good, along with chips and salsa. Now I'm really hungry.
If I'm really feeling snacky, I'll fix myself some cup noodles. But I don't know if that qualifies as packaged.

If I make mac and cheese by the rules on the box, that's packaged. If I add pepper, I'm getting closer. If I add blue cheese and mozzarella... mmmmm. Oh, and cream cheese, must have that in all mac and cheese products. There's a reason my mac and cheese is called "instant heart attack".

I also like popcorn. It's my second favourite food in the entire world. Popcorn with butter and parmesean and brewer's yeast is the best.
Sesame snack sticks are good for munching on, and I like crackers, and sometimes beef jerky... but only a specific brand and flavour, everything else is icky. Oddly enough, my cat likes it too, but also only one brand and flavour. This is odd because she is incredibly picky. She only likes catfood, dorito dust (she'll lick it off of doritos -- it makes my brother very mad), and beef jerky.
Now I'm hungry, but if I try to make anything I bet I'll wake my parents up and get scolded for still being awake.

On the toast tangent, I really like a bastardized version of something I had in Italy. Take two slices of bread (I like potato bread, personally) and lightly toast it, smear on some spaghetti sauce of choice (not too much), and sandwich two thick slices of fresh mozerella between the bread. It's simple, easy and quick to make, and very yummy.
Feh, now I want one.

I have always liked frozen bananas, esspecially if you cover them with chocolate and nuts, but even w/o toppings I like them.
