I don't know if I posted about this

but we have two red-tailed hawks in the neighborhood. We also have a turkey. As of today, I can confirm that the turkey is a mama. (Aw.)

I love hawks, but nevertheless, I hope they stay away from that adorable little fluffkin.

Yay!

Red-tailed hawks definitely kill and eat pigeons as well as goslings, but I don't know details of your local bird population.

Oh sure, I was just thinking that if there are geese and pigeons around the hawks would be less likely to bother the young turkey.

I only saw it once. And what I saw was the adult geese chasing off a hawk that had already killed a gosling, rather than let it fly off with the catch.

I don't blame you. Geese are MEAN.
Hawks are cool IMHO

I get that, like _get_ that! Geese are scary and hiss, and I’m happy to leave them be.
