My cold appears to be mostly gone

other than a persistent trickle of mucus down the back of my throat and now a little bit of the runs. Does excess snot in the stomach do that, do you think?

Anyway, at least there's no headache. In celebration, I got my flu shot!

More likely wonky hydration and possible diet issues related to what was palatable etc.

That combo certainly could. Taking into consideration any counter indications, you probably need some hard cheese, complex carbs, fiber and darkly pigmented veggies. Beans will do both fiber and protein.

I've not noticed snot doing that to me but, well, I wasn't looking out for it and people vary.

I have definitely had a stomach ache and once vomited because of mucus.

I could not be getting over a cold and have a flu shot in the same week, as all things forbid the shot make me as sick as the cold did. I like a little recovery between my illnesses, tyvm.

I do find that excess snot and gastric disturbance often go together, but I have no idea whether this is causation or merely correlation.

Yeah, unfortunately it does do that. Glad you're feeling better, though!
