Maybe it's Tim Burton!

Or not.

I get someone calling my place and asking for "Mary" about 3 times a week. It's really starting to bug me, as I'm sure it's the same woman...

Nah, I think he's probably still in York, so he'd be ringing from a mobile or an England number ;0)

Calling on your expertise...

On a completely different subject, Cowboy_R is in need of a Latin translation... if you've a moment, will you pop over to his blog, this entry (http://www.livejournal.com/users/cowboy_r/320563.html) and give him a hand?

You're my heroine. Thanks.

We used to have a phone number one digit off from the local psychiatric hospital's hotline. This was in the days before Caller ID, so I leave the ensuing hijinks to the reader's imagination.

I had a number that was almost the same as similar to almost nothing like the local number to give you the time and temperature. Once at about 3am I staggered to the ringing phone pick it up and say, nastily, "this had better be good". On the other end, you could practically smell the fumes of burning brain cells drenched in alcohol. Then (sheepishly?)... "uh, could you tell me the time?"

How I wish I were awake enough to have said "it's too damn f***ing late!"
