Apparently, Whoopi Goldberg has been fired from Slim-Fast for criticizing the Shrubboy at a politcal rally.

Slimfast is such a scam. If you drink a glass of skim milk with a packet of sweet & low in it and take a vitamin, you get the same effect for a fraction of the cost.

Haha. It'd probably taste better too. Slim fast tastes like chilled liquid bread with sugar.

Ew.

It tastes fine. It's one of my weird diet staples.

At one point in a speech mocking the Bush administration, Goldberg used his surname as a sexual reference.

That's class all the way. Gotta admire that level of taste and refinement. [/sarcasm off]

Jeez. It IS possible to criticize someone politically without descending to playground-level stupidity, you know.

Oh, I didn't say anything about the firing. I was just pointing out her chosen style of political commentary.

That's how public relations work though, most companies simply do not want to be associated with controversy of any sort. They already have enough people for commercials, so why would they want to keep someone that might invite trouble on their paylist? It might be unfair, but public relations is about making companies look good and therefore make money.

We have a winner!

So many jerkwads get all upsot because they don't get free air time to say whatever they like and scream "censorship"!

I'm sorry but I would never associate the shrub with sex, in any way shape or form. *shudders*

You obviously haven't seen my Good Bush/Bad Bush (http://www.swikie.com/goodbushbadbush.jpg) t-shirt.

I wish I used slim-fast, so that I could boycott them.

ROFL, that's awesome! Now I gotta go buy me one!

I went off Atkins 2 weeks ago because I was on a 'plateau' for 6 months and bought some slim fast stuff - I won't be buying any more, and I went to their web site and told them so. http://www.slimfast.com

So there's at least one boycott.
