First, a turkey.

See? TURKEY!
And where did we see this noble creature? In the zoo? On a farm? On my street where, inexplicably, we always find runaway turkeys right before Thanksgiving? (Well, that's explicable after all, I guess.)

In that playground by the SI Ferry in Battery Park!
I've known since high school about the wild turkeys in Battery Park, but I never saw one except at a distance before! Did you know they can fly and perch in trees above your head?
Too cool.
And, because I took it today:

Evangeline being cute. I would've taken one of Ana too, but she went into a snit. *shrugs* What can you do?
