Well, That Campaign is over

While I am happy, I can't help feeling slightly perturbed that the eminent Dr. Harold Koplewicz apparently only was influenced by the letters he received from parents on the issue. I guess that makes the rest of us, what? Chopped liver? Or concerned third parties, maybe?

I'm also more than slightly perturbed that he still seems to feel it is okay to downplay honest, legitimate outrage and anger over offensive material as "hurt feelings". Offended is hardly the word....

But, with that said, I don't think this sort of thing now is worth getting worked up about. The important part is over, I can now sit and wait for the next crisis.

They want money. Ha. Fat chance.

I am disappointed, but not surprised, that he never called me back or had someone call me back. I wonder how many other people called. I would have liked to talk to him directly.

Yeah maybe give that money to ME so I can get that communication thing for Ted. (I saw the prices today. TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS for some of them. Owtch. I should post about it, it's exciting.)

But but it's FOR one! Or can that only be done by agencies doling it out? Which may be the case if insurance or the government won't buy it. Some charity that raises funds for assistive technology. If the other grant doesn't work out. Apparently there is a list and I have to apply one at a time. It's like getting a scholarship except this is kind of more important, so it's harder to get, or something like that.

I'll gladly donate to the CUT RED TAPE charity. :D
