Most of these we can make or jury-rig up, so that's not an issue :)
Pirate
Hat
Bandana
Eyepatch
Spyglass
Flag
Explorer
Flashlight, or hat with flashlight on top (did you know you can get those for $10? I don't think I can pick one up for that price in my size, though....)
Compass (doesn't have to work)
Binoculars?
Cowperson
Hat
Vest
Bandana
Lasso
Boots? or just spurs?
Firefighter
Hat
Jacket
Equipment?
Cop
Hat
Badge
She already has a "squirt-squirt-squirt" (aka, most amusingly "squirtdaddy")
Doctor
Hat... did doctors ever have those weird things with the mirrors on top?
Stethoscope
Look-in-ears-thingy
Thermometer
Knight
Armor
Helmet
Sword
Shield
Superhero
Cape
Mask
Obviously, I'll have to come back to that. Ideas appreciated. Insert whatever sort of smiley you want there.
Jenn was talking about this recently. My family always was big on supporting things. We had tons of museum subscriptions we probably couldn't afford. Jenn and I grew up running around the Met and the Hall of Gems...
Natural History Museum
Staten Island Zoo
Wildlife Conservation Society (for the other zoos in the city)
The Transit Museum. I intend to start going there more often now that I know they run a toddler program on Thursdays
Historic Richmond Town, just because. Actually, I'm slightly interested in the Quilting Class.... Soon as it turns warm, that's another place I'm visiting more often.
I think, in addition to my "Every playground in Central Park" idea, I'll try visiting a new museum every month or so. That'll be fun.
Now, to plan.

The Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. My kids LOVE that place. The toddler garden isnt a LOT but it still keeps interest, as does the other parts, especially if they do a particularly fun indoor exhibit.

There is so much for kids there, and affordable too, though, I am very excited.
And considering it takes me nearly 2 hours to get to parts of Manhattan, the 3 hours to Chicago or 90 minutes to Madison isnt that bad...
