Yeah.

Which is how I found myself browsing The Children's Place. After all, if I want to ensure she has plenty of non-pink/purple clothing, I have to be on top of the situation, right? Right. Their stuff is surprisingly non-expensive (trust me, after you've seen stores seriously selling children's clothes at $50+, your views of what clothing should cost change drastically. I mean, I understand buying for quality, but... children! They don't *need* quality, they just need lots of clothes so that when they stain one outfit, another's waiting!), and, of course, adorable (of course!). Weird thing, though, these people learned a different set of colors than the ones I'm teaching Ana. Energy? Tidal? Mist? Since when is "mist" this shade of blue? Mist is just fancy-woman fog.

If you're curious, and interested in Helping the Cause (clothes that aren't pink!), you can always comment or send over leftover clothes from relatives or whatever. I wouldn't bother, though - we're hardly desperate here. It might be better off sent to charity or something. I'm sure, if you're so determined to give stuff away (riiiiiiight....), Ana'd prefer some toys or books. I've got a massively insane wishlist at amazon that's fairly worthless.

Energy. Pah! If you can't call it red, try scarlet or vermillion. Colors that are, y'know, colors.

H&M? Is it... *utters the dreaded words* cheap?

I'm actually looking a lot at garage sales and used clothing shops now. That's some nice stuff I can get there.

Yeah its pretty cheap, cheaper than Childrens Place. Cheaper than Baby Gap. Probably Cheaper than old navy? Is there an H&M anywhere near you? We have this really cheap place called S&Ds, and a Kid City, and those have amazingly cheap items, and good stuff too. But the most unique is H&M which is a European store but more of a funky one than the Italian/Russian influenced "European" boutiques you find in some areas.

Even pretty reasonable for grownups, too.

Garage sales rock and its still nice out, so hopefully there will be more for a while.

There is one in Kings Plaza with children's clothes. There are some in Manhattan (they're dept. stores like Macy's) but at least one doesn't have children's clothes, as I found out when I went with Kayleigh.

I know, I saw :) It's not a great site design. Rather annoyed, especially as I can't see what any of the clothes *look like* without making a big trek into the city.

Yeah it's really frosting my ovaries -- it wasn't always like that. Best I can say is if you know where they are, and you happen to be close, make a stop in. :/
