God I'm sick...

I've got a sore throat.
I've got phlegm.
I've got a wheezing cough, but that's unrelated.
I've got snot coming out my nose... or worse, NOT, so I can't breathe.
I've got a nascent sinus headache.
I spent all of yesterday feeling nauseous.


I hate being sick. HATEHATEHATE.

And I couldn't take my philosophy final... the final/class/prof wasn't there... Weirdness.

Do you drink tea? Peppermint tea always helps my sore throats. Dunno if it's because it actually helps, or if it's because it comforts me enough that I think it does. Hope you feel better soon. Being sick is the worst.

My sister used to make me drink this horrible ginger infusion when I was sick. Didn't work. At all. Now I just have sorbet or something... cold helps the throat.

If it does not include tea leaves, it is not tea. It is an infusion. Do not call it tea unless one of the ingredients is tea.

Bah. It's silly to say 'infusion.' Tea has a much nicer ring to it. I'm not sure if my earl grey and peppermint tea bags have actual tea leaves in them... but I think I'll keep calling them tea anyway! Sorry. ;P

I've thought about this; why do they call it tea if it doesn't contain tea? Now I know that - at least English-speaking people - they don't. But I think the word meaning the same as "infusion" doesn't exist in my mother tongue :/ My luck.

Gurgling salt water is supposed to help sore throats too... Whenever my throat hurts I usually end up drinking a ton of warm tea and gurgling a couple of glasses of salt water...
