Miserable weather...

It's normal for us to get some mugginess in the summer, but this is getting absurd. It's not muggy, it's just damp, and it's so damp that even a reasonable distance inland, like we are, I can still smell the pervasive odor of seawater. That's fine at the beach, on a nice sunny day, but I don't like to have it all day, every day, in my own home. And it's not hot, and it's not cold, either. Having the fan on is too cool, having it off is oppressive and there's no breeze. And stepping outside is like going into a very thin bath, which is hardly better than being inside. And my hair's... surprisingly neat, considering the mess it usually is, but that's not the point. And the foghorn, day in, day out, whooo whooo whooo, and I'm going mad, I tell you, simply mad.

Does anybody someplace dry want to invite me for a visit? I promise not to be too much of a bother.

I was outside an hour ago and it was oppressive. It was horrible. It was disgusting.

I'd invite you over, but I don't think you'd like it very much. I've got the same soup you do. Or similar, at least.

Current conditions: 73 F/100% humidity. On an island. With a fog advisory; visibility .2 mi. on the water. I do like the sound of the foghorns, though. ;)

It's dry here in Los Angeles, and you'd be welcome to visit, but I doubt you'd want to endure my company. :) My wife is sweet, though.

It's good at my parents' house now. My grandparents live so close to the ocean that we're on the last north/south road before you hit ocean (there's a little neighborhood, then some wilderness, then ocean). My old house was about half a mile away.

I know that pervasive odor well.

And being in Miami, I have nowhere dry to offer you. We're an indoor sort of folk for a reason down here.

Oklahoma has been hot, humid and still lately, so I'd be of no help.

We're sitting at 17% humidity right now. It doesn't get much drier than that, here in the high desert.

not dry enough here, I'm afraid. And too hot to boot. Sorry.

That happens every damn time I get off the bus these days!

It's dry here. Very dry. You could sleep in my closet with the cat! There isn't any room elsewhere. Unless you came in a week; my grandmother will be gone then. Or perhaps you could stay in my friend tess's house while she's in canada. I'm looking after it for her.

Nothing to do in Wyoming, though.

It's not cool nor dry here, but come anyway. :P
