Won't be posting a lot my ass....

Two things....

1. Some of my friends have yet to hear that Nestle is evil. Here's your clue. It's about as bad as Walmart. When telling people this, be sure to explain that it's not about breastfeeding v. formula feeding, it's about illegal and unethical marketing practices.

2. Aw, a meme. Bet youse guys all can name three things I've discovered lately for me, I certainly babble enough about them. And direct me to new things. Sci-fi, written or otherwise, is always appreciated, thankies.

Is Nestle only evil regarding breastfeeding stuff, or is it a general "all divisions of this company mistreat their workers and bully stores to make them carry only their brand of chocolate" sort of thing?

Hi. You don't know me. I found your LJ randomly while going through my Friends of Friends list. I liked your poll, and we share a lot of the same interests. Hope you don't mind me friending you. ;)

Can't wait until Friday night on SciFi Channel.

Have you read Patricia Wrede's Enchanted Forrest series?

Okay, darn, one of my absolute favs. Have you read "A Malady of Magicks" series by Gardener, or the Myth books by Asprin (can you tell I like my fantasy amusing?)

Craig Shaw Gardener wrote a series about a magician allergic to magic and his apprentice. They are pretty good.

I also like Lackey, but doesn't everyone ;>

Yeah, I've read about the Nestle issues before.

What irks me about the Wal-Mart thing is that people will flat-out INVENT crap in order to "support" their dislike for the place. Yes, Wal-Mart has been on the receiving end of lawsuits (something about gender discrimination, as I recall), and yes, they have that crappy policy about their pharmacists, and so forth. Isn't that enough? (See my last public post for an irritated rant about these fictions.)

Ha. So is everyone else (anti-union, I mean). Although I did mean to include that closing-the-whole-store incident under "and so forth".

My point being, aren't there enough REAL reasons to dislike Wallyworld, without making crap up?
