Y'know what else? Screw this. I *am* going to beg.

Not for a whole permanent account, that's stupid. I wouldn't want to put my friends into debt. But, instead, for a bunch of coupons.

Or, alternatively, for baby toys.

Or for a donation to be made to the charity of your choice, so long as it's not a charity I am morally opposed to (since I am the one asking, here, I figure it's okay to put a restriction against things I don't like, right?).

So, three things you can spend money on (or time, for the third thing). LJ stuff for me, toys for... notme, and charity. Charity is good.

Hey, I'll make a deal with the last one. You spend money on charity, and I'll 1. do my best to donate time to that or a similar charity and 2. spam youse all with a post including links to the charities.

Wait, wait. I was just going to ask for stuff for me. I've got to stop doing this....

Edit: Hey, that worked! Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] wispfox!

I'm gonna be doing a blogathon...OH CRUD I JUST REMEMBERED.

I was going to sponsor your walkathon friend and then I didnt have my wallet with me and that was before I lost my bookmarks, so I never went back.

Is it too late?

I regularly visit click to donate sites for causes I feel are good (health care for kids, books for kids, food for people who need food, medical research for cancer, money to buy land and leave it the way it with rainforests or such, food for animals, money to neuter animals (a little controversial, but I really feel it's best from the things I've seen), etc.) That's about the level of what I feel I can do right now, but it does help the world a little.

Yup, and a bunch of others. There's a really nice one that gives small loans to people in poor countries (mainly to women, I think) so they can do things like start up a business or buy a cow (which is starting up a business, as you sell the extra milk) and such... and a loan of less than $200 can really change the welfare of an entire family. I think that's pretty nifty.
