So, yesterday I went to the bookstore....

And Conrad's Fate was out! The new Chrestomanci book? I didn't buy it. As a rule, I don't buy hardcover. They're more expensive and cumbersome, plus they mess with the neat "all paperback" thing I've got going on. However, in this case, I didn't buy Conrad's Fate because I was busy buying a different new release - the new Hilari Bell book.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I really really love this author. I spent no less than five minutes directing somebody in the bookstore towards her books, talking all about how much I love this author.

She needs more love, and a scary fandom. Everybody else gets that, so why not Hilari Bell? Please. Go off. Read the Farsala trilogy. Read any of her books. I implore thee.

Alas, I've never, ever even seen Hilari Bell's books. Not at a library or a bookstore or a used booksale or anything! If I saw them, I'd totally snatch them up. She's on my list.

D'you think you could link to my most recent calling-for-nice-words entry sometime today? You've got a much bigger readership than I do. I've been too stuck on the sound of "coffee percolator" to come up with any fabulous phrases myself, and the need for this list has risen to compulsive importance in my life right now.

My library carries Wizard Test, The Goblin Wood, and A Matter of Profit.

Is this a trilogy or random books or parts of a trilogy?

Those are the three my library carries, so I'll probably start there before actually spending money :)
