I hate when people think they can restrict your activities in one place due to something in an unrelated place -- like when I started a mailing list somewhere, a muck took away privledges even though the mailing list wasnt related to the muck, directly.
Man, and that's why I never post anything about people. Because getting angry and making generic threats that aren't going to be backed up warrant police investigation. God forbid you ever get angry.
Whoever said that teens have no concept of free speech-- and that means bad things for the future-- was so right. At least he's taking action.
Hey Con, would you possibly do me a favor? I need to set up a poll for my senior project, and I don't have a paid acct. Y'think you could possibly set one up for me? I will try to get on AIM later, but if you get on and I'm not just IM me anyway and I'll find my way to a computer with AIM access.
people have they right to free speech, but they do not have the right to go around saying things that are slanderous or threatening. Similarly, excersizing the righ to free speech does not exempt a person from being responsible for what they say.
I do believe that the school over-reacted (although, since what was said was not revealed, I really cannot judge) but I don't believe that they would have acted if they thought that action wasn't necessary.
