And more "news" from the AFA...

I should stop reading their hateful work, but it pulls me in like a moth to the flame.

Interesting thing about moths. They aren't actually attracted to flames or bug zappers. I mean, they *are*, but only incidentally. They're trying to navigate by the light of the moon... but if another light is stronger, they'll try to navigate by that. Unfortunately, due to the closeness of flames and bug zappers, this causes them to go spirally and eventually plunge to their doom.

OK, now that I've read the article...

*smacks the AFA upside the head with logic*

*reads the cited 'cases' at the end*

Because of course you'd never see a Christian authority figure or parent using their religion as a justification for harming a child. Oh, wait.

I didn't read the whole thing. But I'm fine keeping Wicca out of the school newspaper. I think they should keep all religions firmly out of it. Otherwise we'll have a flood of personal Christian accounts in the paper, and it'd be mind-numbingly boring.

I always feel sorry for the moths. *flying, flying, doing my thing, hey moon, ack I hit the moon! WTF I HIT THE MOON AAAAAAAAAHHHHH&

Well, true... it allows me to feel smugly superior when I can accurately say, The moon is gibbous tonight. Plus I was proud to babysit for one of the few two years olds where after I got through with him, he knew the names of all of the moon phases. :)

awww.

I like the moon. Every once in a while, it'll get so bright, one can read by it and have a shadow. Which is AWESOME.
