I love that because I feel it's important to retain languages so they don't become lost forever.

For example, in Nawlins, no on learns Creole anymore. Everyone speaks English all the time, and the language is dying. It's a shame.

I wonder how the numbers of people learning Klingon, Elivish, and any other popular languages would compare to some of the dying real ones.

Aww, bummer. There go my New Year's resolutions.

It's nice to read that Irish is growing in popularity. I've always thought it sounded cool and gives me some hope that maybe people will stop believing that learning more than one language is evil and will make your brain a-splode.
