Well, the tree is off our roof.

Finally. Yes, it's been several months.

However, in the process of cutting down the tree, they managed to destroy our beloved peach tree. I am *not* happy about this.

Oh, and we got somebody up in the attic to see if they can catch that possum. Yay.

I think possums are cute but then again I don't have to live with them. I do live with squirls which I think are cute but my landlord and roommate don't.(they can be destructive, chewing walls, etc)

I didn't realize possums would go in an attick though. I always though such creatures stayed on the ground or bushes.

I liked squirrels until they moved into our roof and ate our nativity, wooden baby blocks, old school books etc. Then I became more ambivilant ;0)

I've never had them do that. I can hear them running across my ceiling. I've got within 6 inches of one. Another down the alley once was doing what looked like the Caddy Shack golpher dance. So far if they do anything it might be poop in the attic when they nest. Only physical damage I've ever seen was the shed outside. They chewed a 6in hole in a wall to get in and nest though other than a few droppings didn't cause any other damage.

Ours were nesting, so they chewed all that stuff up (and a fair bit of our insulation.) The biggest loss was the nativity which Mum hand made back when she was at teacher-training-college, so it was nearly 30 years old and can never be replaced. Not that the old school exercise books can be replaced of course. But maybe if my brother has kids we could find some new wooden blocks to put in the trolley.
